Biography

Ulrik Poniatowski was born in Paris in 1983. After a three-year stay in the land of his origins in Poland, he now lives in Bordeaux.

He was introduced to art and creation at a very young age by observing Jean-Charles de Castelbajac, who is none other than the godfather of his little brother. As a teenager, Ulrik tagged in the streets and metro of Paris. At school, he spends more time drawing graphs in his notebooks than attending classes.

In 2007, he left to live for a year in the United States where he met the Haitian painter: Patrick Cauvin. The latter made Ulrik want to devote himself full-time to artistic creation. It was upon returning to France the following year that he began painting on a daily basis.

In 2010, he had his first exhibition at Artisyou in the Marais in Paris.

In 2013, he exhibited thanks to Delphine Garnier, from Association 4 Couleurs, at Étienne de Causans in Paris in the Saint-Germain district.

In 2014, he exhibited in Miami at Markowicz Fine Art.

In 2016, he exhibited at the Yacht Club de Monaco. What follows is a break from artistic creation. Indeed, during his stay in Poland, Ulrik threw himself into martial arts and more particularly self-defense, to which he gave all his attention and became a black belt as well as a Krav Maga instructor. It was some time after his return to France, in 2020, that the thirst to resume painting and artistic expression was felt more and more urgently.

After two years of work, Ulrik is now ready for his return to the stage with a large collection of new works and a technique that is refined and continues to progress.
